Dave Clark

Steeped in the vibrant musical traditions of the West Coast and the Deep South, Dave Clark is an American jazz guitarist and composer based in the Netherlands. Originally trained in the classical tradition, he later turned to jazz, developing an approach that combines modern jazz harmony, improvisation and classical technique. His playing reflects influences ranging from mentors Mimi Fox and John Stowell to the blues-infused approach of Grant Green. From 2014-2024 he performed on guitar and bass with a variety of small ensembles in the San Francisco Bay Area, and he currently performs throughout North Holland as a solo artist and with local ensembles.
